Smaller departments are typically under their small-purchase threshold, so no competitive bid is required; for larger districts we help you take it through procurement — and one flat annual figure that does not move with headcount makes an easy budget line to defend.
Who owns our data? What happens to narcotics records if we leave?
Your department owns every record. Export everything, any time, in CSV/PDF. Controlled-substance custody records are append-only and are never deleted except on your chief's signed instruction — that protects you in an audit, not us.
Is it secure enough for controlled-substance records?
Encryption in transit and at rest, per-department isolation enforced at the database layer, role-based permissions, daily automated backups, and a tamper-evident audit chain you can verify from the admin console. Custody records cannot be edited or deleted through the app by anyone — and every deletion requires your chief's signed instruction.
Our station wifi is terrible. Will it work?
Yes — that's the point. The app cold-starts instantly with no signal. Checks, counts, and barcode scans work offline; AI label scan needs signal. Everything syncs when coverage returns. Bad LTE in the bay was a design requirement, not an afterthought.
How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes with the built-in wizard: name your rigs, load a standard EMS starter inventory (200+ par levels across 28 compartments, all editable), invite your crew by email. Most departments run their first real rig check the same shift. We'll also help import your existing spreadsheets.
We already use one of the legacy suites — or paper. Why switch?
If your current system works on the phone in your pocket, keeps checklists and inventory in one place, and prints a complete DEA binder in one tap — keep it. If not, bring a CSV export or the paper binder and we'll have you migrated in an afternoon.
